Dr Vincent J. Lacroix

Dr Lacroix practises non-operative orthopedics and primary care sport medicine at the McGill University Health Centre. He has served as head physician of the Montreal Alouettes Football Club for the past 20 years. He is associate director of the McGill Sport Medicine Clinic. He has worked as head physician for the Montreal Canadiens hockey club.

Dr Lacroix is assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and director of the Edmond Ricard Primary Care Sport Medicine Fellowship Program at McGill University. His clinical and research interests are in the area of lower abdominal wall injuries, exercise-induced asthma, pre-participation physical examinations and the ethical challenges of returning injured athletes to competition. Dr Lacroix was assistant coach of the McGill Redmen basketball team from 1988 to 1993.
