Athletic therapist
Catherine is an athletic therapist from Concordia University and is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association. She has experience working with athletes with musculoskeletal injuries, pre-and post-surgeries from sports injuries and “tune-up” treatment to help prevent injuries by catching imbalances, improving mobility and muscle activation, and helping with their performance. She uses manual therapy (soft tissue release, mobilization, muscle energy and myofascial release) and exercise prescription in her daily treatment. Catherine is currently doing her master’s degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion with a specialization in Rehabilitation Science from PennWest University. Through her master’s, she became a corrective exercise specialist and a certified speed specialist. She has been an athletic therapist for the last three years in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Ottawa Redblacks. Catherine uses personalized treatment to help her clients return to their activities.
