Dr Delaney practices emergency medicine and sport medicine at the McGill University Health Centre. He is the head physician for the Montreal Impact Soccer Club, team physician for the Montreal Alouettes Football Club, team physician for the Department of Athletics at McGill University and consulting physician to Cirque du Soleil. He has served as team physician for the Montreal Express lacrosse team and has supervised the care of many professional boxers and Olympic wrestlers in Montreal. Dr Delaney was selected as the 2010 Tom Pashby Sports Safety Fund Award recipient.
Dr Delaney is an associate professor in the department of emergency medicine at McGill University, he was also the research director for the McGill University Health Centre Adult Emergency Department. He is a member of the editorial board for the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine. His research interests include concussions and neck injuries.
